To celebrate Careers in Construction Month during October, we launched the Build A Career at Bhangals campaign to highlight the value of choosing construction as a profession.
The month-long celebration of the career paths available in the sector shone a much-needed spotlight on the rewarding construction opportunities on offer to people looking to learn a new craft or skillset.
Four of our esteemed team members shared their career stories across multiple platforms, and the campaign has been a great success, with our staff appearing in the press both locally and nationally, in YouTube videos and other social media platforms. It has strengthened our relationships in the community and showcased our worth in the local economy.
One of our favourite comments from the campaign came from senior estimator Kieran Rollings, who said: “I would highly recommend a career in the construction industry as there are many different pathways where you can develop, grow new skills and take on new roles and responsibilities to further your career.”
Estimating manager Harrison Baxter also highlighted the fact that the sector offers different opportunities depending on your strengths. He said: “Construction can support many ways of thinking. A logical thinker can be successful in aiding the planning and programming of projects, whereas someone with a creative and precise eye for detail may enjoy crafting bespoke items for clients’ projects.”
Our company has grown dramatically since our founder, Parm Bhangal, began in his childhood bedroom more than a decade ago. Since then, it has grown to a workforce of more than 20, who carry out roles from estimation to full project management.
And we continue to evolve.
Today, we have listed a whole range of job vacancies to further grow the business. Available roles include Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Junior Estimator, Senior Estimator and Administrative Assistant.
While some of the roles require previous experience, others simply require drive, determination and hard work.
We hope that the Build A Career At Bhangals campaign will now inspire more people to apply for the roles that we currently have available and encourage those who haven’t previously considered construction as an option to widen their horizons and maybe take that leap into something new.
